I really enjoyed this post Debra! What a great summary you made of the spiral, and your answer was just as good a read. I could pick any number of things to echo from this - thank you. Happy Writing! 🤠🤙
Your reflection on the spiraling inward and outward reminds me of walking away labyrinth, always turning the opposite way you seem to be going, never a direct path on or out. It is a beautiful spiritual practice for that reason.
I also love your idea about how our experiences shape who we are. Sometimes people try to ask "who are you" at your core, separate from experience, relationships, etc., but I'm increasingly convinced that so much of what they tell us to separate from our core identity to find our true selves are actually the very things that make us who we are.
For me it has been going within myself and directing why it is I feel a certain way that helps me know the source of my emotions. It has been the biggest aide in healing and becoming that in which I seek.
Wonderful! Thank you so much Debra for being a part of this little experiment. It’s been so much fun and this adds to it. I enjoy every answer and this one adds to the fantastic mix. Thank you for sharing this and for being so generous with your time and spirit.
