It is difficult seeing our loved ones fade away.

It is hard on those, too, who stay.

Yes, the mind roams. Ours, theirs. Some say what's on theirs, some quietly endures.

I'd like to think, that it's best to be aware and then just go to sleep.

That'd be my preference.

Your poem made me think and remember.

I`ve been diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia a form of Atypical Parkinson's.

So far, I have some memory issues but am holding my own with mind exercises, writing, puzzles etc.

My brother has had some confusion from his oxygen decline from COPD.

I am sorry for the loss of your loved one. 💖

I too hope to go in my sleep before my memory totally leaves me.
