Writing is so much easier at times ...it's slower--- allows us to pace what's in our hearts and minds. Also, beautiful song. I was singing it as I was reading.
I see now that my comment may have been misinterpreted. I meant it as a tribute to the depth and impact of your piece, not specifically about the preacher man. Your story and words hold such power that I hope to carry their meaning within me, letting them grow into something that sustains.
If I ever get enough money to afford a Pot to piss in I would love to have paid subscriptions with lots of substackers I have come to appreciate and become fond of! 😋
I don`t believe I`ll try and monetize. I have what I need and blessed to share what little I do have with those that I can. I don`t announce the `good deeds` because to me if I need a pat on the back, I didn`t do it for the right reason. One must keep ego humble. I am thankful to those that follow or subscribe but most thankful for comments. To know something, I wrote moved somebody is the only pat I need. I try to resist the urge for such feedback but yes, I too have flaws.
