Springing Into Motion
A beautiful sunny Sunday. Today was a day of being in motion and staying in the moment.
Like most mornings, the coffee pot was the first thing to be set in motion. Are you a coffee drinker? Tea? I have tried green tea, but I have never acquired the taste for it. As a kid I drank orange juice or apple juice but as I have aged, juice upsets my stomach. I can only manage a cup to cup and a half of coffee before heartburn settles in. Ah, the joys of aging.
While my coffee is brewing, I like to prepare the dishwater for breakfast dishes to immediately get washed after we eat. Maybe a touch of OCD but I do like to get it done and out of the way or else they will sit until the noon meal. I have never had a dishwasher unless you count my two daughters when they were growing up. ๐
Once my brother settled down for his mid-morning nap, I sat down with my laptop to commence reading. (my morning ritual) Sometimes I may start an article if I have an idea or prearranged something.
Today I decided to do some baking and bask in some art.
This picture reminds me of my Aunt and Uncle`s camp in Hannawa Falls, NY. We went a lot as kids and through the years we brought our own children there. I learned to water ski and being towed behind my uncle`s boat on a tube made the summer a thing to remember!
I took a two-hour nap today. There wasn`t much motion in that moment unless you count my uvula vibrating as if Muhammed Ali was speed bag training. ๐
I had made my brother apple-dump (apple-crisp variant) in the crockpot. I had made 8 mini loaves of banana bread early last week and pulled out some to thaw.
Supper will be a fend for yourself of leftovers or for me cereal. The best kind of supper. I eat my biggest and usually my only meal midafternoon. That way I have time to burn off any calories before bed. Who am I kidding๐ more so to digest and not suffer from heartburn half the night. ๐
When do you like your biggest meal? Dinner (I call the noon meal) or supper?
I still have a load of laundry needing to be done. I know what you're thinking but we do not have a regular washing machine. I have one of those portable apartment kinds. (under 100 $) I hang our laundry to dry inside. We are not permitted a close line in our park. Nor a washer technically (not in lease but stressed) but you know I do own my trailer but not the land. Ah the joys of the southern warmth in affordable housing for seniors. (trailer parks)
I know it seems as if I`m complaining but I am not. The park I am in is small and so far, still affordable. We have no amenities, such as a pool or club house but it is a quiet park and people look out for each other and pretty much everyone minds their own business. I was truly fortunate that I found the park I did.
Billy has been home from the hospital a week yesterday and is holding his own as they say. He has an appointment tomorrow and we will see how that goes.
In nine days, my youngest daughter and my grandson will be coming for a short visit. I can`t wait!! Her first time seeing mom`s place since I bought it in 2019.
I hope you all had a peaceful Sunday. What projects are you working on? Spring has sprung ๐ชป๐ฎ๐ธ๐บ๐ป

Tea or herbal tea (lemon and ginger, peppermint, chamomile, etc.) for me. Just discovered your blog this morning. I am eager to read all your past posts. Take gentle care of yourself.
You are a loyal like me with the OCD and the heartburn. I have come to the conclusion that a lot of it is caused from my medications. I take one day at a time. I am glad Billy is starting to feel better โบ๏ธ. I pray ๐ for both of you.
