Saturday`s Ponderings
The sun is shining, and I have awoken from a long slumber. I believe the last week of activity and the emotional acceptance of my journey ahead contributed to me needing to sleep. Except for waking to use the restroom and take medication, at which I popped in and out of Substack, I went to bed yesterday afternoon about 4:30 Ish and slept until almost 8 this morning. 😮😎
I have bustled about this morning and achieved enough housework and meal planning to allow myself the guilt free enjoyment of writing todays article. I am not a sports person, so tomorrow’s happenings do not concern me personally. In fact, had it not been my brother who mentioned the Super Bowl, it would have come and gone for me like many sporting events. He, (my brother) is not into sports either.
After sharing today’s article, my plan is to finish a painting or begin a new one. Now one might think I should finish an already started painting before venturing to a new one, rationally speaking. Yet I need to be in tune with my creation. If not, I will muddy up the waters and discard the project all together. I will attempt to see though if I can connect to the already started one first, but I have learned not to push myself to complete what isn`t felt creatively.
Housework and needed tasks have been different and I do not have the same issues of pushing through. In fact, it is facing a hard task or the mundane that I push past the “I can`t or the Ugh do I have To’s”.
I often would quote to my girls what I heard my grandfather, and my father say more than once. “A good sweat cleanses the soul”. That little adage told to me as a child, still ring true today. (Hard work is necessary)
I miss those adages told to me when I was young. Adages that held a moral truth spoken to guide without lecture. Bits of knowledge of wisdom sown in melody, limerick, verse or proverbs. Are there any told today? New ones to guide- not lead you to buy?
I found this by Chris Meyer and sighted one that I thought true for our times. 👇🏼

3. Bullshit Asymmetry Principle
The amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it.
It is almost noon, and I will bid you all a farewell until we meet again.
