From The Hidden Words

O SON OF SPIRIT! The best beloved of all things in My sight is Justice; turn not away therefrom if thou desirest Me, and neglect it not that I may confide in thee. By its aid thou shalt see with thine own eyes and not through the eyes of others, and shalt know of thine own knowledge and not through the knowledge of thy neighbor. Ponder this in thy heart; how it behooveth thee to be. Verily justice is My gift to thee and the sign of My loving-kindness. Set it then before thine eyes.

Bahá’u’lláh

Justice pursued through the independent investigation of truth teaches the seeker of justice to see through their own eyes and not through the eyes of others

This beautiful passage emphasizes the profound importance of justice, particularly as it relates to the individual's journey toward truth. Bahá’u’lláh presents justice not only as a principle to uphold but as a divine gift—a sign of His loving-kindness.

The independent investigation of truth, as referenced in the teachings of the Bahá'í Faith, encourages each person to seek out knowledge and understanding firsthand rather than relying solely on the perspectives or biases of others. This process fosters clarity of thought, moral discernment, and spiritual insight, enabling one to act with integrity and fairness.

By setting justice "before thine eyes," the individual aligns their actions with this divine attribute, ensuring decisions are made with awareness, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to truth. Through such practice, the world becomes a brighter place, as justice forms the foundation of unity, trust, and the betterment of humanity.

When I look within myself that drives my intentions. To give love and to be loved.
