Hello
Well, Hello
I wasn`t expecting you, I mean… I know you`re always around and…
Anyways come in, come in sit down. First let me recognize what we both know. Sometimes when you arrive to be seen and heard, something/someone jumps in line before you. I see that and want to let you know I appreciate your patience with this crazy life we are a part of.
Here we are again trying to have an in-depth conversation while watching the clock because it`s almost time to go. I promise you I will make time for you today.
I`ve missed you and that isn`t your fault. I`m so proud of the work you`ve done and how you have stepped into who you truly are. Those are some huge achievements given all that you have survived.
Yet, like always you give me the credit for surviving what you endured, what you sacrificed so that neither of us would be destroyed. How could I not love you, cherish you or defend you?
Now listen up girl, we got this. Together we will stay from here till eternity. I didn`t celebrate when you moved back in. I was afraid you might decide to move back out but you stayed. You trusted me like I trusted you, way back then.
So later, when all the days needs have been met. You and I are going to have some we time. You deserve it and you`re worth it.
I`m forever grateful to have you with me in our journey home.
Sincerely, Me to my younger self 💞💫

I ❤️ this!
Beautiful letter Debbie! It reminds me of RuPaul’s Drag Race when. contestants speak to their younger selves. My hope is we can all treat ourselves in these moments now with the same kindness and deference we’ve learned to show to our vulnerable parts. It’s all us. The messy and the beautiful. Young and old.
