Granny Visit
Good morning, everyone!
Last evening we had a visitor for the night, yep Granny. For those who don`t know Granny isn`t our blood kin, but kin just the same in our eyes. She is a woman in her seventh decade of life. Witty, full of spunk and we adore her Alabama accent. A beautiful soul we are blessed to know.
Anyways, Granny stopped for a visit, and we welcomed her for the night instead of driving eleven miles to the place she is staying at temporally. She`s waiting to hear if her spot is available in town at a senior facility. (independent living) She`s been waiting a year! I hope she gets good news soon.
I have a loveseat that has a pull-out bed and she`s been told she is welcomed anytime. I know the park rules say we can`t have company for any longer than two weeks but she doesn`t stay but a couple here and there, and besides I own my place but rent the lot. It angers me that we are told what we can do in our home. I pay my lot rent six months at a time, so I don`t have to deal with the park owners but twice a year. It is what it is and we couldn`t afford to move to an apartment around here nor afford a home at more than 250,000K. All is well and we do fine, and we are comfortable. (my brother & I)
Granny will be coming back to spend the weekend with us! It`s her birthday Saturday and I am making carrot cake cupcakes. (she eats like a bird) I asked her this morning if she likes steak, and her eyes lit up. Well, can you guess, yup I will be making her steak and mashed taters and veggies for her birthday meal. Anything for Granny. 🥰💕
If I am to leave any message with you all today it would be to enjoy the people in your life that mean something to you. Kin or not it always feels good to share a meal, offer a warm safe place to slumber and to hear stories of yesteryear. In the end it will be these cherished memories she will leave with us or us with her, when we part this world.
My heart is filled and “my cup runneth over” 💖
Have a great day! ✨Be the Light ✨

Good morning. Have a wonderful time with your Granny.
