I’m sorry to hear about your friend. You said you wanted to project light and love and be both … but I’d say you already are. You’re sharing your light and love with your Substack readers but even more importantly with Granny, your brother and Bill. The world right now is a messy distraction. Leaning in to the experiences with those we love most, being seen authentically and appreciated for who we are. Sounds like you’re walking that talk. A counsellor described it to me as our ‘personal bullseye’ to described the layers or rings of importance we assign to the people in our life. Chaotic actors in the world don’t make the cut. I hear you though and also fight the balance of being informed with burn out by news.
I`m 58 and it took me a long time to reach the comfort level I am in within my own being. I appreciate this space and the form of expression it has given me. I hope you find that too here. Thanks for being a part of my journey.

Sometimes when I read a comment as touching as yours, I sit with it for awhile before I respond.
I remember the day I hearted this and wanted to sit with it. Then it slipped through my memory.
